A team is not a group of people

In my experience working in software development teams, I rarely experienced what teamwork is. Everyone had a task assigned on Jira, working solo to implement it, and then moving the next one when ready. The only interactions were discussions on PRs, standups, grooming sessions and retros.

Teamwork is about working together towards the same goal, it's simple as that.
